Measured from Canon R lens mount, which describes the mount this one is a variant of and not this one.
Canon's first SLR mount: breech-lock, introduced March 1959 with the Canonflex, replaced by the FL in 1964. It is here because the Canonflex was filed under `leica-r`, whose spellings included the bare `R mount` — and the Canonflex infobox says `[[R mount]]`, a redlink. The join was a correct reading of a wrong claim, so the claim is what was withdrawn: neither mount answers to `R mount` now. `Wikipedia:Lens mount` does not list this mount at all, so the authority could not have found this; the two records colliding on one spelling is what did. **Not the Canon RF mount.** That one is the 2018 full-frame mirrorless mount — 20 mm flange, twelve electrical pins — and it is digital-only, so it is deliberately absent from a library of film equipment, as the Leica S and Hasselblad X systems are. Wikipedia opens `Canon R lens mount` with a hatnote telling the two apart, which is the note this record was missing: every lens filed here dates from 1959 to 1963.
